Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its presence in the UK by opening a new AI hub in London. This new TCS AI UK hub will create 5,000 jobs over the next three years and boost innovation across the country. The AI Experience Zone and Design Studio will help businesses, startups, and universities work together more closely.

For over 50 years, TCS has supported about 42,000 jobs directly and indirectly in the UK. The new AI hub is a modern update of its PacePort center. It focuses on client collaboration and leading-edge technology. The London hub follows the successful New York design studio and builds on TCS’s strong partnerships with academia and startups.

UK Investment Minister Jason Stockwood praised TCS’s commitment during a recent visit to its Mumbai campus. This new AI hub aligns with the India-UK trade deal. The deal aims to double trade and create more jobs in both countries by 2030.

In the 2024 fiscal year, TCS contributed £3.3 billion to the UK economy. It also paid over £780 million in taxes. The company employs 42,700 people across 19 sites in the UK. Among them, 15,300 work in tech roles like engineering and data analytics. This helps narrow the UK’s skills gap, which costs billions per year.

Vinay Singhvi, Head of TCS UK & Ireland, said the UK is a core market for the company. The new AI hub will promote AI adoption and innovation. TCS will continue investing in skills and talent development across the UK.

Also, TCS supports STEM education and digital literacy. Its “Partnering for Skills” initiative aims to upskill 12,000 people for technical jobs. This effort fits well with government plans to build a skilled future workforce.

Beyond business, TCS supports community projects such as the London Marathon. The 2024 race raised a record £73.5 million for charity. TCS focuses on digital inclusion and youth empowerment through these efforts.

In summary, the TCS AI UK hub launch and job plan show a strong commitment to the UK’s future. TCS is driving innovation, growing talent, and supporting economic progress. It is a key partner in shaping Britain’s digital future.
